Futuristic Offset Body Shape
Instruments with offset bodies have been around since the 1950s, but few were as quirky and futuristic-looking as the Guild S-300, introduced in 1977. Its dramatic cutaways and contoured curves combined with its Soft U neck shape made it exceedingly comfortable and easy to play—while also ensuring that its player stood out on stage. Guild HB-2+ Humbuckers
The S-300 Deluxe Neptune Blue Metallic guitar sports a pair of HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets and classic Guild dual-rail covers. Somewhat hotter than standard HB-2 pickups, they too deliver classic PAF-inspired warmth and clarity, but with a bit more punch and bite. Dual Volume and Tone controls, a 3-way pickup selector, and a mini-toggle phase switch provide additional tone-crafting options.
